Cheated and de*****ed by AVBOB while mourning

My father died in December 2017 and I had insured him under AVBOB. So AVBOB were the first to know as we alerted them first the morning my father died.

AVBOB had the nerve to deduct the monthly payment I was paying for my father in January, a month after he died. When I alerted them of this and requested them to refund me they gave me the run around and never paid back my money until today!

Secondly, when you take out a policy with them they make promises that they do not fulfil, like a free coffin, etc, etc. When I reviewed the statement after the funeral I realised that they actually charged us for things that were supposed to be free as promised by them in their service offerings. Again I alerted them about this, and I was told the Queenstown office charges for things that AVBOB promises not to charge for. So until today even the money that was deducted from our pay out has not been refunded by AVBOB.

I hope AVBOB will find it within themselves to refrain from cheating and de*****ing families that are mourning. That behaviour is unAfrican and inhumane.
