AVBOB policy *****
I'm a police officer in the SAPS. Due to covid 19 we stopped receiving our payslips by hand and we now get them via emails. In February when I received my payslip via email I noticed that there were AVBOB policies that were deducting off my payslip without my approval or acknowledgement. I was astonished as it was 3 policies deducting about +/_R1400 in total. I went to my finance office to request for previous payslips as this was quite disturbing. I noticed that these deductions started in November 2020. I went to AVBOB to enquire about this ***** because I did not sign anything, nor did I meet with an advisor or produce any documents. I was told to open a case at the station and fill out documents at AVBOB to be refunded my money. The policies were finally cancelled by march but one still continued to deduct in April. When I go to the branch the managers gave little assistance. It was worse yesterday, June the 17th when I was at the branch and the manager called the head office and I was told that I must just wait and I cannot call. I'm so angry and distraught as it's such a huge inconvinience as 20 of my collegues are going through the same thing and you must fight to be refunded. I want my money back as my rights have been violated and I didn't give anyone permission to yake my money nor be deprived to get it back. I advice that people don't open policies at AVBOB as the advisors will **** your money without your acknowledgement and it's a hasssle to get it back.
