Avbob funeral undertakers who dont care about clients

<p>My father inlaw passed away Thursday, went to avbob on Friday as we have funeral cover with them. The consultant who assisted us told us that we will get a R1000 as soon as the paperwork is done.So that we can use it for airtime etc.she Also said we will receive +-R9600 as a bonus and R10 000 to cover the costs of the funeral.So in total it is R20 000 that is what she said. We were happy that everything will be covered.Today Monday 29 August we get a message to say paperwork has been received from hospital we must come into office. We were told on friday the death certificate will be ready on Monday.We got to office at Avbob no death certificate.No R1000,we were told another two days then death certificate will be received. It must be sent to Wynberg. Then after consultant worked out all the costs we were told that there is a shortfall of over R1000.We had to then cancel the flowers which costsR1700. So now caterers must still be paid. Shortfall now is almost R800.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is really very pathetic service from one of the largest funeral service providers. How dare you put us through all of this trauma when we are supposed to grieving our loved one ,not even any empathy was shown toward us.</p> <p> </p> <p>I for will advise anyone to stay clear from avbob.</p>
