Unfair outstanding amount and no communication

Contract taken in 2009, sent letter of unemployment 23 June 2010 and affidavit Ref: 1.***7.<br> Since then, no communication. When I did a pre-approval with std bank for vehicle finance, auto page acct popped up on Experian credit report but not on ITC who regularly check my status. On this report from Experian it states: Installment R837 balance (zero). Last update 28/04/2013.When I contacted them I was told that I owe R3874 but can settle within 7 days R2300.I logged a complaint with Experian on 12 October 2015. Awaiting outcome, approx 20 days waiting period. I feel this is unfair as I use ITC as reference to my credit status but why companies do not update outstanding amounts on your profile is not right. If this outstanding amount get's paid, which I don't have, I qualify to purchase a vehicle of up to R142 000 in December 2015.<br> <br>
