Unfair listing for *****alent use of cellphone
Autopage has listed me on the credit bureau for an arrear payment for R40 000. My average bill since taking out the contract was R1200 for seven years. My cellphone was ****** on the 18th February 2011, Friday. When I called my cellphone, it went to voicemail so I was unaware my number was being diverted. Autopage on receiving the late downloads from MTN had sent a sms to a ****** phone. Due to further delay downloads by MTN, Autopage called me on my landline only after a swim swop was done on Tuesday afternoon, 4 days later. The liability should be for both MTN and Autopage in failure to protect their client against ***** and informing me timeously on my landline to protect further use of this cellphone. Autopage has now listed me on the credit bureau as a late payer when I am disputing this account. This account is now preventing me in obtaining a full bond. I have called Autopage legal today and have spoken to Mavis Mokoena who was unhelpful and insists that this account must be settled despite Autopage being unable to protect me by having safety measures such as softlocking the phone. They allowed the bill to continue to escalate without being vigilent.
