Theft through Voicemail

When roaming I was billed every time someone left me a message. I did not pick up the call and I did not call in to retrieve my messages. The problem is that as a consumer I have no control over my account if anyone can just call and leave me as many messages as they want and I need to pay. A call from a South African mobile to a South African Voicemail service does not require an international carrier to manage a call and therefore it is simply *****ing to charge roaming rates. To make things worse there is also no feature on the voicemail options to deactivate ones voicemail. SIMPLY PUT THE SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO **** THE CONSUMER. Altechs attitude towards its clients is truly disgusting as I have only had issues with them since the first day I became their client
