SONY XPERIA Z3 NOT WATERPROOF

I purchased a Sony Xperia Z3 compact on contract last year December, on the 27th of September it was used for taking underwater pictures and it was underwater for less than 30 seconds and all ports were closed, after a while the phoned went off and never came back on. I then took it to Autopage Westwood Mall, Durban, to book it in for repairs, it came back as BER (Beyond Economical Repairs) when I went to fetch the phone the Manager of Autopage Westwood had such a bad attitude and tells me that the port where the earphones go in is also a port, then I tried to explain to her that if it did not come with a cover how was it suppose to be closed... Please do not purchase a Sony \WATERPROOF"phone"
