Refusal to remove non-existent account from our name.

My husband took out 2 contracts with Autopage in 2014. He instructed Autopage to CANCELL BOTH. In applying for a bond, the bank pulled up an Experian report stating that he pays Autopage R876 p.m. on contract number 1A***0. But this account does not exist. I emailed Autopage three times already on their website to have this account removed but to no avail (*** and ***). All Autopage can say is that since closing down, they transferred 2 of my husband's contracts to Vodacom and Glocell (despite being instructed to cancel both!). My husband does not pay anything on these contracts and was unaware they they still existed on paper until now. We have contacted both Vodacom and Glocell to assist, but the problem is that the Account numbers and instalments for the accounts that they have on record DO NOT CORRESPOND WITH WHAT IS
LISTED ON EXPERIAN. There is one Account listed in Experian and it is in the name of AUTOPAGE
(not Vodacom or Glocell). The account number is 1A***0. Neither Vodacom
or Cell C can assist with removing it since it is listed as an Autopage
contract. Only Autopage can remove it. So far there has been a blantant disregard for our requests by the consultants that we have dealt with. This matter has supposedly been send to the Autopage legal department but we have had no response from them and the wait is becoming unreasonble. Can someone send a letter to Experian stating that account 1A***0 does not exist and needs to be removed. And Send us a copy of the letter once this is done. I will leave my husband's ID number below. That is all we need to resolve this issue once and for all. I am making once last attempt to resolve this before it becomes a legal issue. I think the public needs to made aware of how careful they have to be when taking out contracts with Autopage. This might be them in the future. Dr Chetty
