R3000 bill

I upgraded my contract last month I told autopage that I need a top up package as my contract amount was to high every month it was between R1000 and R1 500 Autopage Told Me to give it a month and then I should call the call centre to change my contract to top up which I did so today now I get told so far my contract is sitting at R3 000 how can this be I am getting over charged and need this fixed before I make any payment.
