Porting of number-inconsistent stories
I phoned Autopage on Firday, 26 June 2015 requesting an early termination of my contract to enable me to port my number to another service provider. I was giving the amount to pay to facilitate the porting process. Since then I have been in contact with the Call Centre/ Customer Service as the other service provider indicate that they always get an error whenever they submit a request to port my number. One call centre agent said that my service provider should e-mail them documents to enable the porting. Others say I must speak to Cancellations Department who in turn referred me to their Account Department without any success. My service provider has tried several times even while I was on the phone with them. I was even given the following *** which at the time I was told that the number will be available for porting within 2 to 24 hours which was on Tuesday, 30 June 2015. This has not happened. I requested that no airtime be loaded as the number was going to be ported but Autopage went ahead and loaded the airtime. When I phoned about the loaded airtime nobody is able to explain as to what is going to happen to it as the number is being ported to another service provider.
