Poor customer service.

On 18/2/2015, I renewed and upgraded my cellphone contract with the express instruction that migration only be effected from the 1st of May as I still had a substantial amount of airtime on the old contract and did not want to forfeit it. As migration took place earlier than expected, it seems as if the credit has indeed been lost and no amount of querying could resolve the matter. To add insult to injury, on 9/5/2015 my new phone blanked out completely and could not be restarted. I took the phone in to the suppliers office in Richards Bay on 10/5/2015 and was informed that it had to be sent for repairs which could take up to four weeks. On questioning the consultant whether payments would also be suspended during this period, I was told that it is the SIM card that is on contract and not the phone. In my humble opinion the one is useless without the other and it seems like exploitation to pay for something that one does not have the use of, especially as the phone is part of the contract. Seems a pretty one-sided contract seeing that until now, I have not even received a copy of the contract. A loan phone would have eased matters, but this is not an option to assist clients.
