Misleading contract promises & refusal to cancel

During July 2015 a lady from Altech Autopage phoned and offered me a contract on a Samsung Galaxy S6. She said to me that this is an open contract for approximately R500 for 200 sms, 75 minutes airtime and 2 gig data. I told her that I cannot afford an open account and would like a top-up account similar to the one I have with them. She informed that I should go to the local Altech Autopage in Rustenburg to put a block on the account. I took the phone to the local Altech Autopage to have my data transferred to the new phone where they told me that you CANNOT put a block on an OPEN account. I patiently phoned the customer care line 9 times over 6 weeks of struggle, and every time I was promised that they will get back to me within 12-24 hours with no reply. A helpful gentleman from my local store tried to assist me and was told to go through EC3 Durban. I did. After a few more calls and no reply, EC3 Durban informed me that they were still waiting for feedback from Autopage. I am 74 and never in my entire life experienced such bad service. I have not had any response from Altech Autopage (head office) or EC3 Durban to date. The debit order went off my account. Please help.
