Impossible to cancel contract

I visited a branch a month before my 24 month contract was up, to close my contract and revert to a prepaid option and was told to contact the cancellations department on *** as it can only be cancelled by them. <br> <br> I called the number I was given and was transferred 4 times before I got to the so called cancellations department. I was then informed by the operator that both my contracts will come to an end as per the 24 month term. <br> <br> A month later and my contract is still active. <br> <br> Why is it so difficult to close a contract as per the agreed term? I placed a months notice as per the cancellations clause in my contract. <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br>
