Contract **********ly upgraded

On the 21/07/2015 I was contacted by Altech Autopage Gezina store, telling me to confirm that I am at the store upgrading my account, to which i responded no. Thereafter i was informed by the store's employee that someone had a **** copy if my ID document and was attempting to upgrade my contract for a new phone. I then proceeded to report the matter to the police and Altech head office. I got an affidavit stating what happened and reported the matter to Altech in a form of a complaint via Email. I received an email telling me the matter has been escalated but with no follow up till today. After this on the 27/08/2015 I received an sms informing me my account was upgraded, in Bluff, Durban. Nobody contacted me like the 1st store did to verify if it was really me, no ID photo comparisons were done to verify if this is the same person, Altech did not flag my account after i had reported to them about this attempt ref no: 775011. No assistance from Altech Upgrades department saying there is nothing they can do. I have proceeded to report the matter to the consumer protection agency and i flagged my ID a week before this upgrade was done. Really disappointed and disgusted at Autpage
