Brand new phone damaged

I upgraded to a Huawei Ascend Mate 7. Firstly I had to wait 8 days for the phone to arrive when i was told 3 or 4 days. Secondly the phone arrives eventually and it turns on and its completely faulty. I could not even enter my sim code. Now i must first book it in and wait another seven days for new stock! This is suppose to be one of the better phones on the market! How can there be no stock of one of the main specials being run in your monthly leaflet, a phone on special order just for me? Rather ridiculous. Oh and when they want to log the return the systems are offline and i must wait for a email tomorrow to confirm. It is now weekend and that will just add more time to a completely ridiculous and stupid situation. I do not hold the assistant accountable as he did his job and was very helpful and apologetic. This needs to be looked at because waiting 2 weeks to actually getting a working phone is pathetic!
