What a waste of money!
I've been an AA member for many years and every month the subscription gets deducted from my bank account with no issues. Apart from the monthly payment I never hear anything from the AA, so I decided to log into the AA website to make sure my details were correct. When I entered the details the site claimed there was no record of my membership. I then phoned the AA helpline and explained the issue and after giving my details over the phone I was able to get onto the site. I then decided to try the AA's cell phone app, which is what I would use if there was an emergency, guess what? It claimed I wasn't a member, despite just having confirmed my details over the phone! I then phoned the AA membership number and said that although I have been a member for many years that I wanted to cancel my membership as it was just a waste of money subscribing to a service that says I'm not a member. Without even trying to convince me to remain a member, as most companies would do, I was told that they would cancel my membership. I must have paid thousands of Rands over the years to the AA for membership, I never go a thing out of it and would never recommend that anyone bother with joining them.
