Unacceptable Response Time

On a Friday evening my car ran out of petrol on the side of an extremely busy road between Camps Bay and Hout Bay, there were no service stations nearby and I was a girl on my own with a car stuck half in the road on a blind corner on the side of a mountain, about 10 minutes from the city center. I phoned emergency services and they told me someone would come to me in 2 hours. I then had to call a friend who came to get me in under 20minutes. I find this response time unacceptable and dangerous. This is also not the first time, last time it took 3 hours for them to come get my car when it broke down.

Something needs to change, either more rescue/tow vehicles need to be added to the fleet or the wording for emergency rescue needs to be changed.

My family have been members of the AA for over 25years and in the last few months the service has been shocking.
