Stranded!

I had accidentally locked my car keys in my boot on Tuesday this week (I know, it happens!). I immediately called the AA callcenter with a promise that an AA patrolman will be there to assist in 75 mins, so I wait. About 80 mins later, I get a call from AA again saying that they will send a locksmith out AND I will have to pay an excess of about R300. I then spoke to a supervisor (Trevor) and queried why a patrolman never arrived and the answer I got was that the AA does not have the capability to unlock my car (This should have been told to me when I logged the call!). When I insisted that an AA patrolman come out to assist, the response time became another 2 to 3 hours which would have left me standing on the side of the street for about 5 hours with my wife and seven year old child and I had a child which I needed to fetch from school. At this point, I logged a call with Audi Assist. This team promised to have my car sorted within the hour! What a difference! As promised, by 4pm that afternoon, Audi Assist had my car unlocked! they called me every 20 mins or so to ensure that I was safe! Absolutely no Kudos to the Automobile Association, very, very disappointed :-(
