Spent 2018 Christmas alone cause of AA negligence

Good day, On the 24th Dec 2018 my car would not start, so I called in. AA sent a guy to come and check what was wrong with the car. The guy checked, and he confirmed the fault was with the battery, that I must buy a new one. I told the guy that I have insurance with AA and that I should be getting a new free battery. The guy didn't seem to be interested, he told me I need to get a new one that I can get it from him or from AA for R1 400 and he left. Issues: 1. If I didn't have insurance with AA, I wouldn't have called in the first place 2. The guy was an AA employee, and as an AA employee, he would have known that for any AA client, the customer qualifies for a free battery, and if he didn't trust what I told him, he could have called AA to double check if I'm really an AA client. 3. On the 24th Dec 2018, I was supposed to go home for Christmas, and I didn't because I got stranded, so I had to get a flight home, which happened to be on the 28th because there were not flights available. 4. Since 24th Dec 2018, I have been stranded with no car, and I have been using Uber to move around. AA liability to me: 1. Transport costs incurred from 24th Dec 2018 (flights-return flights, including Uber costs) till 14 Jan 2019 2.Pain and suffering from AA negligence 3.Airtime I used to call AA, for something they should have prevented

I sent an email about 14 DAYS ago to Amina Mohamed to AA,followed up two days ago, even today there is still no feedback from the insurance company.

Hi, My complaint has not been resolved. AA staff calls me, telling me they couldn't give me a battery on the 24th of Dec 2018 because the guy who came to assist me was for membership is a PURE lie. I don't have membership with AA. Even if I did have membership, why was I given the battery only on the 14th Jan 2019 when I had a problem on the 24 Dec 2018??? You are selling us lies, I have never missed any of my premiums since I've had the policy in 2017, but the service I have experienced with AA is not something I want to experience again the future. Why did it take 13 days for me to get the battery?
