Nightmare with the AA
My car stalled and eventually got stuck on the Freeway. I called my "trusted" backup to assist tow the car back home as it didn't want to start. I was told that the "Fair" use policy was recently updated (while I was unaware of it) and that I have reached my cap of tows within the year, I can only be offered the AA rates that I would have to pay on the spot. I did not have money at that point, I was unaware that I've reached my cap as they mention, and I was referred to speak to membership consultants. I was sent from pillar to post eventually got no assistance. I was left there to find another resolution on my own. To think I have been a member of this insurance for years and this is actually my first year claiming services from them... And the timing to raise awareness of my cap was less than ideal. Extremely disappointed with how this matter was handled. Even got an email recently that said I can cancel my membership if I want. That's when I realized that it was not just denial of service but a constructive removal of myself as a client. Somehow I'd like to know how this profiling is done? Just hope it's not racial.
