new member no service

Below is an E-mail sent to the AA on 22/1/2018....To date no acknowledgement of receipt and worse still no reply...For a company looking for customers, this type of service is pathetic................ Good day I became an AA Advantage + member in December 2017. I just want to draw your attention to what I can only call poor service I received from the AA…Not a very good first impression!!! On 4/1/2018 I made a call for assistance to the call center as I had broken down on the side of the road….just before 9am. ref 180 ********** and 180 ********** The car was overheating. The lady that answered the call after taking my membership number and checking if I was safe then told me to hold the line while she created the call out. This took between 4-5 minutes…..AN ETERNATY when you are sitting on the side of a road. When she eventually came back onto the line we started logging the details….when I needed to give my location which was on the N1 at the Gorden road off-ramp (Roodeport) heading south this lady could not find this location……After 15 minutes while again on hold while she tried to find this location I eventually gave up and dropped the call. Fortunately as I was still in Johannesburg I could call family to come and tow me. I really think you need to pull and listen to this call to get a sense of how frustrating it was. My issues: 1.why would it take so long to register a call out?....Especially considering that the calls are mostly coming from a cell phone. 2.Cell phones can provide exact location via GPS….why not use that. 3.When a call out is made..especially from your new members, why don’t you follow up with the client afterwards that they were happy with the service..

Here’s hoping that going forward I can bank on assistance from the AA and not have to rely on Family, after all I have paid for a service from the AA.

Regards
