Motor Vehicle Insurance Claim

To whom it may concern;

My name is Samantha Rademeyer, I'm a client of AA insurance (Underwriter -Constantia Insurance) On Saturday 08/06/19 around about 20:15 pm,i asked my partner to go and collect food for us.

As he's vehicle was not available, he used mine. He has a valid drivers license.

On his way back from the shop, in the Mainroad ,a car drove into him. The driver of the car admitted his fault and took full responsibility for what happened.

My partner immediately contacted me and i went to the scene. An accident report was drawn up and case no. given to him.

I contacted the insurance to let them know what happened . On Monday 10/06/19 i contacted the insurance, only to find out that they don't want to fix my vehicle.

When I looked at my Policy schedule, no where does it state that they would not fix the vehicle if someone else drove it.. I did not put other drivers on as I am the only driver, and that was just a once of incident..

I can only put a designated driver, if the person will use the vehicle more than 3 times a month .. Which does not happen! On page 6 of 9 states no restricted drivers..

On page 7 of 9 on the Policy Schedule section a, it states Additional Excesses;

But no where does it state that they will not fix my vehicle..

Can you please look into this matter, as this doesn't sit well with me. As I pay my premium every month on time..

On the 14th June 2019 I have escalated the matter to the Ombudsman, and up until now I'm still waiting for Feedback...

Going forward I will not recommend any person to above mentioned insurance....
