How does one get a response from AA?
Thought that signing up as a customer with AA should be so easy via their website - that was not the case.
Main sticking point was that they asked my wife to use her ID as a the reference when paying via EFT. My bank (FNB), gave an automated response when we tried to pay using the usual 13 digit ID number. The FNB message stated that we should use the 9 digit reference number which appears "on our AA monthly statement". We have sent at least 3 emails to AA asking how we can have a monthly statement when we have never belonged to AA - furthermore their website states that we should use an ID number. We have had absolutely no response from AA since sending at least three emails 3 - 4 days ago. Would have thought that AA would be delighted to have new members and that would respond with speed to any new enquiries. In any case we are leaving on our trip in 2 days so its propbably too late to join now.
