DO NOT USE THE AA (AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATON) - ******
What nonsense is the below email - looks like the next step is the OMBUDSMAN - you reject a claim because the mechanic does not want to supply an invoice for the cost of a part, and if so, dumb assessor cannot use his discretion and check prices & make a portion payout of the claim, i will never renew my policy with these ****** again,
Good Day Mr Mashipath We refer to your claim for damages as a result of a jumpstart conducted by the AA. In terms of law you are required to quantify your claim and we have a right to appoint an assessor who is responsible for overseeing the entire claims assessment process which includes ensuring that the work on your vehicle was actually done and done at a reasonable costing. Our assessor contacted your repairer who refused to provide us with his supplier invoice which would : • Establish that a part was in fact purchased for your vehicle and the work as per your invoice was carried out • That a reasonable mark up was app**** in accordance with law. Your suppliers failure to provide us with the relevant information means that we cannot verify the quantification of your claim and cannot process further without the necessary documentation. In law he who alleges needs to prove and we require all documentation to settle a claim.
