AA Warranties devious and dishonest
Pathetic Service from AA Warranties as well as their Claims and Complaints Dept. They do not honour their sales pitch nor respond to complaints, calls or emails but are happy to take premiums. Still waiting for over a month for my vehicle to be repaired. I had to arrange to move my vehicle from Mercedes to an AA approved repairer at AAs instruction and I had to contribute to the towing fee too. They were not prepared to fix under a reputable franchise as Mercedes quote and reduced the quote to less than a third which I have no problem if my vehicle is repaired to manufacturer standards. The long and short of it is that their Claims Dept now told their AA approved repairer to use no name parts for my vehicle that has only 28000kms and is out of their maintenance plan but still serviced and maintained by Mercedes with a full service history. AA were even dishonest as the repairer was not supposed to tell me about that they wanted their AA approved repairer to use a no name pirate part to keep to their 'Market related' costs down. They not prepared to divulge the basis of the market related price nor the repairer to do it at this price. As they are infringing on the Consumer Protection Act, and my consumer rights, I sent emails to AA Senior Management and waiting for a response for more than a week for a simple alternator repair is now taking almost 2 months with no resolution in sight and with me having taken tip of the range Double Titanium under advice from their Sales person with cover for R100k for any incident with no specification on min or max for specific parts such as alternators either in ther policy. The latter was sold on the pretext of no hassles and peace of mind with AA, yet they hassling to repair for something at their reduced quote to below R7k less than a third of Mecedes quote and this being our first claim since inception, against a policy premium for R100k cover for any incidents in a year. We have been reasonable and met all AAs requirements and just want the vehicle repaired with the genuine part and labor as per their policy and in terms of manufacturers specification even at their approved repairer or any other as our vehicle is still under service plan. AA Warranties, Claims and AA are proving to be dishonest and devious in their approach and this small man in the street will not renege as a matter of principle against this corporate until my vehicle is repaired to our satisfaction and no further costs to us. To add insult to injury, my wife is very ill and we now have to use my daughter's vehicle to hospital and back. We don't need AAs sympathy but merely service that we pay for. Won't recommend them to anyone at this stage and we even cancelled our standard AA membership for over 30 years and they can hide behind policy all that they want but have proven to be dishonest and devious. AA service sucks.

Urgent Attention AA Senior Management and AA Claims and Complaints Snr Management – re claim against AA Warranty Policy
Further to the outrageous and ********* behaviour of one of your teams, your AA approved repairer to whom my vehicle was towed from Mercedes at your request, brought my car back home today as we were given an ultimatum until 14h00 considering that the vehicle had been with them for almost 2 weeks with no go ahead to repair from yourselves. The manager of the Bosch Service Station also refused to be associated with any level of sub-standard service or no name parts, etc by AA Warranty Claims – one has to admire him for his integrity and associated risks and he is willing to testify to this.
I support his view, as my vehicle could not be stored on his premises indefinitely while AA Warranty Claims protracts the matter with actions that lacks integrity and is surely not becoming of the brand reputation – please refer to the recordings as recently as this week in terms of the discussion in question between Warranty Claims and the Manager of the Bosch Service Centre, who I was incidentally referred to by AA Warranties as they were close by.
So what now…as we are just not winning as clients of yours who have never defaulted nor claimed before in any way. AA as the holding entity and should therefore direct the next steps, I believe, and also a point to note is that this vehicle was driven back to our place this afternoon by your approved repairer despite being towed in from Mercedes to Bosch. Who will be held to account as I have comp**** with all your requirements and more?
My frustration levels are beyond the usual limit and this is not hysterical any more – despite addressing our plight, considering the dire circumstances with our personal situation, none of the Snr representatives of any of the parties addressed herein or previously have responded, which clearly borders on arrogance and I now hand the matter to the Ombudsman and Legalwise as I have nothing to lose considering that my vehicle is now in the safety of my home and the recent decision by your team was dishonest, secretive and not in keeping with policy.
In my previous correspondence, I have acceded to a Snr Management response by cob, tomorrow, failing which, we will take whatever steps deemed necessary for fairness to prevail from AA as we have been more than accommodating for over a month since lodgement of the claim merely for an alternator against double Titanium cover and has not been resolved to date and was instead protracted unnecessarily by your claims dept, through no fault of ours.
There is no confirmation of approval or rejection of the claim, in writing to date, not to myself nor Mercedes or AA approved Bosch Service Station as far as I am aware and this begs the question at what point was the vehicle going to be repaired or not – another month or two?. Are we perhaps able to determine to what level does AA Warranty claims get settled to client satisfaction and it will also be interesting to see if there is in fact a fair spread of approvals and declines amongst various population groups, as my initial interaction with Francois certainly made me feel marginalised and I was on a losing wicket before even stating my case. The contradictions then to the deviousness now around Bosch part v/s no name,, etc and for me not to be made aware by the Service Centre Manager, gives credence to my questions raised. I will not renege on my right to have my vehicle repaired with the necessary guarantees via my AA Warranty Policy as proven by Mercedes and your recommended AA approved Bosch Service Centre that they could not work within the ambit of your lowly market related costs. You have my authority to take my vehicle to your approved dealer who provided the market related quote as Francois said for the original Bosch part and Labour on the proviso that I receive the necessary workmanship guarantee. Not much to ask is it?
Your assistance or courtesy of a response will be appreciated.
Regards
