AA South Africa are not who they say they are

Yesterday, Sunday, 5 April 2015, I was travelling to cape Town when my cars battery gave up on us only 10 km away from Citrusdal, leaving me stranded next to the N7. I immediately called the AA for assistance of whom I have been a member since 2010 and this was the 1st time ever I called for road assistance. .<br> <br> But it turned out to be a bad ordeal with the AA call centre. I first spoke with a lady who passed the buck to another male person at the centre. After numerous calls and leaving me stranded next to the road for 2 and half hours I was finally helped by a gentleman from Citrusdal who were sent by Auto General insurance company.<br> <br> At one stage I totally lost my temper with the AA who showed no sensitivity to the other passengers which included children of 17, 16 and 14. They were prepared to come and fetch the car and only 2 passengers. The rest were to be left on our own. <br> <br> I called the Citrusdal police who did sent 2 friendly officers to come to fetch my wife and kids. The police, Pieter Burger, stayed with me until a kind man, Mr Andre Burger from Citrusdal supp**** me a new battery at a fair price.. <br> <br> The AA can expect my resignation soon.
