Standard Bank Car Insurance & Auto Magic

<p>I am not going to make this about skin-colour but how I was treated by Standard Bank Car Insurance & Auto Magic Paulshof, its definitely appalling. Its amazing how one can be paying a monthly premium but when it comes to claiming, we are given a hard time.</p> <p> </p> <p><br />A month ago, I was involved in a minor bumper to bumper then immediately drove to the nearest police station to report the matter. I was then told to take the car in for assessment at Auto Magic (panel beaters in Paulshof). As agreed contractually, I paid my insurance access then left the car at Auto Magic and was given a date and time to pick up the car.</p> <p> </p> <p><br />The car wasn’t ready at the given time and only received it 2 days later but that wasn’t the big issue, the real issue was the panel-beating that was done to the car. Instead of stripping the bumper, fixing the dent then re-spraying the whole entire thing so the paint work could look uniform - only a portion of it was repair and re-sprayed.</p> <p> </p> <p><br />I then filed a complaint to my insurance manager and apparently he instructed Auto Magic and gave indicated a budget to them to only repair and respray only the dent. Initially when I took the car in for assessment, I was told that the whole bumper will be resprayed because it make sense visually.</p> <p> </p> <p><br />I deeply love my car and wouldn’t have it any other way but to insure it with a good & trusted company. I am not a happy customer nor will be spreading good news about Standard Bank Insurance & Auto Magic Paulshof and will be moving back to my old insurance.</p> <p> </p> <p><br />Unhappy Customer</p>
