AutoMagic Centurion the worse at handling clients car.
I do regret taking my car to this branch (AutoMagic Centurion), I took my car reg for dent repairs on 24th July 2018 and I picked it up on the 2nd Aug 2018 and received a car that has gear cables broken. Upon taking the car, I noticed that the car had issues changing to any of gears (1-5 and R). When I approached two guys at the Panelbeater, they also could not change the gears as well and after some couple of tries, they did change and one guy drove it inside the premises. I then took the car out for a drive and after 2KM, the problem started. I could not change the gear. I then called the Panelbeater again and spoke to one of the guys and he kept on saying there is nothing that they did to the car. So after 7 working days the car miraculously is not able to change gears.
Now I am being taken from pillar to post by AutoMagic Customer Service, promising me that they will get the branch manager to contact me but still nothing. So no one is willing to accept this negligence of handling my car.

Good day Mr Masunyane,
I trust this email finds you well. In response to the complaint we received regarding your gearbox, we only repaired the left rear door on a small dents and scratches claim. As per our check in and out photos we did around 1km moving the vehicle around our premises and to the different repair departments. The moving of the vehicles are done by only three people [Drivers/Workshop Manager]. It is highly unlikely that damages could have been incurred driving the vehicle for 1KM?
We are of the strong opinion that the fault to your Gearbox/clutch is as a result of wear and tear and/or poor maintenance and not as a result of the work done to you L/R Door.
I have discussed the matter with our branch owner and we are proposing the following:
· We will assist with obtaining a full written report from a VW Dealer [Lindsay Saker] to ascertain fault thereof. Should the report state that fault is as a result of wear and tear and/or poor maintenance/condition then the full cost of the report, towing and all cost incurred will be for your account.
· Should the report advise that the fault is as a result of the panel beating we did, we will happily cover the cost.
Kindly note that until we have a detailed/factual/technical report from VW outlining the fault and reason thereof we will not be in a position to entertain your claim.
We trust you find the above in order.
Kind Regards,
