Automagic Blue Route Terrible Service
I am a very bemused and disgruntled customer of automagic Blue Route. I had a prang in my car sometime ago and then the insurance company told me to take it to a panel beater. I chose automagic because an assor from Auto and General asked me to take it there as it was initially a 3rd party claim. I returned when my insurance company approved the work 2 months ago and booked it in 7 weeks ago.
Initially they were very helpful and assured me that my car wouldn't take any longer than 10 days to repair.
7 weeks later I still have no car, but excuses after excuses blaming Mercedes for not sending the right parts. They have also blamed the insurance company for lying about not authorising a part that needed replacing. Pushed from pillar to post for 7 weeks!!! Not once have they taken any responsibility neither have they accepted any form of liability for the process. Last week Thursday they said I could fetch the car and they would complete it when the parts arrive. I took an uber to their workshop, signed a piece of paper thinking I was at least going to have my car back until the rest of the parts arrived. Then to be informed I had to pay the excess up front. My car was not completed, no car for 6 weeks and their customer friendly approach was for me to pay the excess in full even though the car was still in need of repair. I've dealt with a gentleman called Mark the last couple of weeks. I was extremely angry and rightly so. Mark assured me that the parts had been ordered and should have been there by latest Thursday last week. They only arrived on Monday sans the final part. They told me they had notified the insurance assessor of a missing part, which needed to be cleared by the insurance company before they could order. They blamed the insurance company once again for taking so long.
Only because I intervened, that we managed to get to the bottom of the problem. The insurance company had responded to their email, asking why the part was left out of the original quote. It SEEMS that automagic forgot to add it to the original quote so the insurance company had no clue. Now their problem once again becomes mine. Unless I kicked up a fuss, I could still be waiting.
My part in all this is, I should have done some research on the company before taking my car there. On their google reviews, there are a lot of complaints about automagic. I was going to write a review, but I assume due to the complaints they have locked the review section.
I urge anyone that considers using automagic Blue Route to think twice about leaving your car with them. I'm so upset with the whole performance that it's left a very bitter taste in my mouth.
Why is general customer service so bad in South Africa.
