Unlicensed car by autopedigree

So we bought a car in Aug 2019 at autopedigree at N1 city. Agent who got the deal was Melton. All paper work went well. According to him the was licence but just waiting on the disc. So a week or so we went to plettenberg Bay with the car because according to salesman the car got a temporary licence. So we got a roadblock before paarl, officer check the car and to our surprise this almost brand new car was never registered. We got a fine of more than R2000. We took the fine to autopedigree and said they must pay the fine because this was there responsibility to pay. Melton said he paid the fine after numerous calls now when my husband wanted to get his pdp at the traffic Dept they say there's a warrant of arrest for above fine which were never paid. Is this how autopedigree treat there customers. Is this the after sales customer service we get. Now they sent mails up and down. I want my husband's name cleared asap and that fine is now R3500.
