Sold a vehicle that was involved in an accident

It is with great disgust and regret that I write this report about Auto Pedigree. I purchased a vehicle from Auto Pedigree through Auto trader and was referred to the South Gate branch. I dealt with a salesman by the name of Michael Selley who no longer works at that dealership. I initially spotted a Hyundai i10 that was going for a price R85000 that had +-33000km on the clock. Having put pressure on them to close the deal they decided to swap the vehicles and give me a vehicle that had 40000km for the same price. I didn't have the change to assess the vehicle as the salesman assured me that all the specs were the same. Now that I need to do a trade in I'm told that the vehicle has had bad body spray painting and might have been involved in an accident. I asked the salesman if the vehicle was accident free and he said yes. It seems as if Auto Pedigree has no value for its clients and would do anything just to close deals in order to gain and leave a client stranded. I had to repair the wheel bearing from the side that was suspected to have enquired some damage. I will never in my life consider purchasing any vehicle from Auto Pedigree. I certainly hope nobody else does.

Hello mahasha86,

We will be forwarding your complaint to Mr. Johan Abrahamse. He is the Regional Manager for the region under which the Southgate branch falls and we will request him to get involved and to supply us with feedback on the complaint.

Our protocol dictates that we give the first person to receive the complaint (in this case Mr. Abrahamse) three working days to try and resolve the complaint.

Regards,
