MISLEADING INFORMATION

So my mom and uncle bought cars over the past month, Corolla to be specific. Beautiful cars and they happy with them.

Except for that when they dealt with the salesman (Mahapa) , he gave them misleading and dishonest information. They were both told they will pay an installment of R2800 + R200 for service fee, after the verbal agreement, he then gave them contracts to sign which they didnt check because they thought that the information disclosed to them was honest.

so a month later they are being debited an amount of R3800 from the bank and when he asked Mahapa about it he said "they signed for it so there is nothing he can do.

so my question is , isnt that the Suppliers are not

permitted to directly or indirectly, provide customers with false, misleading or

deceptive representations regarding goods or services.? isnt that a consumer's right

to protection against discriminatory marketing practices, disclosure of information,

right to fair & honest dealing and accountability by supplier?
