***** deal and inflated price on a vehicle
I bought a car at Auto Pedigree in Burgersfort, but the way my application was handled was so ***** and questionable from the beginning, I told them what type of car I wanted, they then looked for the car, they called me to tell me they got the car for me, they asked all necessary information from me I provided and they app**** for finance on my behalf it was approved, but funny thing I was never shown the images of the car and I was never provided with a quote on the deal, so I kept quiet hoping they will do that, but to my greatest surprise they told me my car was almost in final stages of processing that was the 20/03/201,so I was told I might get the car by Tuesday 23/03/2021,so on the 22/03/2021,i was called by a lady from their head office, she said to me she wanted to explain how my deal is structured, so she did explain only about the extras added on my deal and the car installment I was to pay, and told me the year model of the car and km on it and I was told to come collect my car on the 23/03/2021 at Burgersfort Auto Pedigree, mind you I have not seen the car and images, no quotations recieved, I did not know how much was the retail value of the car o only knew I was to pay R3732. 00,so I got to Burgersfort on the 23/03/2021,and on the day since I wanted to trade in my current car I also did not know how much I was gonna get for my car, till I asked them on the delivery date, so I was given the contract by the sales person, who was assisting me from the start, he explained few staff and asked me to sign the documents, so I signed, then I started to realise some amounts that were not making sense to me, the retail value of the car was R189 000, on a standard vehicle, and with extras and vat it went to R204 000 roughly, then it jumped to R210 000,and then when I checked the total amount it was reflecting R241 000 which was so surprising to me and luckily most of these red flags were picked up by my insurance broker who alerted me about these figures and I had to ask them where my trade in deposit went to and they could not explain, they told me they gave me a R10 000 discount of which it did not even, reflect of the capital balance, so in short they inflated the prices on the car and they could not explain where my trade in deposit went to, meaning I was gifting them with my car, and the branch manager did not like it when my insurance broker phoned and asked most of these questions, so from there things went wrong, but I decided to take the car drove it, when I got to work I called them, asked for explanation on how did my cat get to R241 000 from R204 000 and I was not getting the correct answer and the branch manager was getting irritated with my questions, so I phoned the Auto Pedigree head office, they told me they can't help me I need to speak to the Area Manager of Auto Pedigree, they forwarded me his contact details, so I called him, he promised to come back to me in 10 minutes, he never did, so instead I was called by the branch manager again and he could not explain where the R41 000 total came from, and then changed the whole story that my traded car was bought for R30 000 and the discount was added on the R30 000 to make it R40 000 as which was my deposit on the deal, so I said that is totally not making sense, so why was the total amount not reduced, by R40 000,insted it added up by R41 000,so he failed to explain, I was not happy, I phoned Nissan straight and asked them on a retail value of a 2021 NP 200 which I was buying, a standard, they told me it was R189 000 maximum, so I phoned the bank and find out if my deal was activated they told me no, so I called the branch manager and informed him what Nissan said, and the bank, he got angry and told me let's cancel the deal and i must bring their vehicle back, I said it's ok, I cancelled the deal, and fetched my car, and met the salesman while dropping their car who was sorry about the misunderstanding as and confirmed to me thet he was not the one who drafted the contract and I was not surprised because he could not explain the questions I asked, but at last I was given my car and walked away from a ***** ****y deal, I was so surprised that such a dealer like Auto Pedigree, could do such to its customers and it was just so painful to go through such an experience and I will never refer any of my friends or family to them, they nearly left me with a huge debt to pay, these was just so bad but I am happy i walked free at lady and thanks to my insurance broker Mr Ricardo Lucas from African Pride Risk Solutions, for his awareness and knowledge which assisted me in seeing the red flags on these DEAL. BURGERSFORT AUTO PEDIGREE are so cruel and disappointing.
