Bought a car that was re-spryerd and I wasn't told

I was disappointed with how my complain was handled by Auto Pedigree Southgate branch. I was promised help with regard to the 2011 ford figo I bought from them which it's body was re-spryed and I wasn't told about it I only found out when I had to trade it in for a 2013 ford focus. I had to pay R5516 on top of my trade. I was told by the dealer if wasn't re-spried I wasn't going to pay R5516 but because of it I had to pay and my instalment which was suppose to be R3500 is now R4400. I'm really disappointed how my case was handled.

Hello Nanawethu,

We are sorry to hear about your disappointment when trading in your vehicle. However, as was explained to you when you visited our dealership, our vehicles goes through a full reconditioning process before they are sold to ensure we maintain the quality standards we set. During this process the vehicle is checked from a mechanical point of view as well as a cosmetic point of view. As our vehicles are used, we do find scuff marks/scratches etcetera on the vehicles from time to time. These are then repaired by spray-painting as it is higher quality reconditioning than only touching up a scratch. We do not sell vehicles which were involved in accidents and has structural damage.

The trade in offer you received was in our opinion unfairly low and we did offer to trade it in for you at a higher value.

Be that as it may, we understand your disappointment but we assure you, we sold you a quality vehicle.

Yours faithfully
