Bad Service

Bought Hyundai I10 cash and received car 6th January, very same evening one light faulty and got an appointment to have it fixed for January 19th. 26th January loud noise when driving, took car back immediately only to be told that the car has been in an accident, accident caused by ME, as the car was not sold to me in that condition. I just received my license and is over cautious when driving. Noise was fixed by mechanic, but I'm unhappy about the allegations and therefore went to Dekra to get a full report on the vehicle's history and had to pay R1800. The report stated that the tires are faulty, vibration when driving, right side headlight incorrectly aligned as well as the front light on the right, left tire worn, rims dented, signs of paint repairs on front bonnet and bumper. Ferdi the manager with Wayne insists that the car had to have been in an accident as they did not sell it to us in that condition. We have insurance yes, so we are in a position to fix what ever is broken, but we didn't break anything nor had an accident. Johan the head of department at the N1 branch accused me of reckless driving, which was quite unprofessional and not being helpful at all.

We will be forwarding your complaint to Mr. Johan Kitching. He is the Regional Manager for the region under which the Bracnekfell branch falls and we will request him to get involved and to supply feedback on the complaint.

You are the complainant for your sister who is the customer.

A resolution has been reached in the matter and unfortunately Auto Pedigree will not be able to repair the vehicle. The vehicle has passed the road worthy certificate (RWC) test and would not have done so if the engine mountings were bent and engine mounting bolts broken off (to name just two of the faults picked up when we inspected the vehicle on 26 January when you brought it to the branch).

A copy of the Dekra report for the RWC has been included in the resolution letter sent to the customer and our finding is that these damages occurred after delivery was taken of the vehicle.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused but trust that you will understand that we are not responsible for damages caused after delivery of a vehicle.

Thank you for your response. I have to add that the vehicle was taken to Dekra (AT OUR OWN EXPENSE) as well and inspection reports are not matching, hence we are now seeking legal council.
