Auto Pedigree staff using personal data of customers from previous employers
On 28 October 2025 at 08:44, I received a whatsapp message from a former Coricraft Kimberley employee with the following message: "Hi there its C I have your number from my Coricraft days but moved to Auto Pedigree and would like to know if you might be interested in purchasing a car"
How is Auto Pedigree allowing employees to contact people through WhatsApp and without the relevant consent, using previous employer's customer data?
This is in violation of the POPI Act.
Auto Pedigree is responsible for ensuring customers are approached in a legal and professional manner and at this stage it is not happening. Extremely unprofessional.
