Terrible customer service
In September 2016 I bought an A3 at Audi Centre Centurion. Since I bought the car its been at the dealer for repairs more than I have been driving it.
I asked Ruuan Kruger to send me records of all the repairs, however he sent me incomplete documentation, claiming that that’s all he has on the system.
I drove a Toyota Yaris for years, and in my six years the only time I have heard to go to Toyota was during the scheduled service intervals. It has never given me any problems. I am displeased with the service and the manner in which this matter has been handled by Audi Centurion. As Audi advertises itself as a premium brand, their standard in my opinion falls far below than the Toyota Standards.
What I appreciate in a car is reliability. Everytime I start that car, I am worried that an error message will appear on the screen, I am worried that I might not get to my destination. And yet the pride themselves with premium service.
In the instances I have been taking my car for all these repairs at Audi Centurion, I have been treated very badly and I will mention a number of examples below:
1) In January, a message appeared on my car “Gearbox Malfunctioning”. I took the car for diagnosis at Audi Centurion. My service advisor was Mdumiseni Dlamini. After three days Mdu phoned me and said they have tested the car, all it is 100% functioning. 2) I took the car on a Saturday, drove it for the weekend. On the following Monday, the same message appeared again. I then took the car in again. This time I was assisted by Johan. The car was at the dealer for almost two weeks. Basically the whole Jan I was without a car. And no courtesy car was even provided. 3) The car came back around Feb, Johan assured me that the problem is now resolved. Bear in mind when I took the car for the same problem Mdu had said it is resolved. So I didn’t even know whether to trust Johan because I have heard that statement before and I was back at the dealer few days later. 4) After few weeks about 2 weeks of driving it, another error message appeared “Electonics Faulty”. I then took the car in but this time I had lost all confidence at Audi centurion, its staff and its abilities. When I told Johan about the error message, he just said okay they would have to check the car again. He gave me no comfort as he seemed to have been taking the issue very lightly as if this is the first time I encounter the problem with the car. At that point I decided not to leave the car with Audi. 5) However I am now stuck with it, I am not sure whether to take it to another Audi Dealer and yet I am paying for it and depending on lifts from people. 6) Audi Centurion has treated me very bad to such an extent that I don’t think I will ever buy an Audi in my entire life. The experience for me is so traumatic that I am scared of even getting inside that car and I think its just money down the drain without getting any benefit from it.
