Service Strip Sump thread and charge me

I have been servicing my vehicle at Audi Menlyn since I have acquired the vehicle. During the last service the sump thread was striped during the removal of the sump plug was and I am now expected to pay for the re boring and lining costs without even pre aproval obtained from me. <br> <br> During the discussion with the service manager of Audi Menlyn communication broke down and issue could not be resolved. I was told blankly without possible further discussion that Menlyn will not pay the costs irrespective and I have to pay the costs. He concluded that I am free to take the issue up with Audi South Africa and have no further responsibility in this. <br> <br> The cost of the repair is not the issue but the way i was dismissed during the telephone conversation. <br> <br> I will never service my vehicle at Audi Menlyn again due a rude and bad attitude of the service manager.<br> <br> The A4 is a marvelous vehicle, but the bad service and attitude from the service manager at Menlyn gives a bad taste in the quality of the Audi South Africa group.
