Service Levels at Audi Sandton is Disgusting.... Audi South Africa is not responding....

I have an Audi A1 2013 Sportback - I have 89000 km and the vehicle is still under motor plan.

On Monday 3 July 2017, my vehicle broke down and had to be towed to Audi Sandton. It was a downwards spiral from there. I was advised by the service advisor Kisten Pentecost from Audi Sandton. that the vehicle's "megatronic" needed to be repaired and I was advised that the turnaround time would be 5 working days as the part was to be flown in from Port Elizabeth.

I ahve requested to use a courtesy car from Audi Sandton as the distance between my place of residence and place of work is approximately 40km one way. Audi Sandton flatly denied me a courtesy car to use in the interim period. In addition, there was no care as to how I would travel between work and home.

On 6 July, the service manager Ismael Rylands called me to advise that the part arrived from Port Elizabeth and that my car is likely to be ready by close of business. On the same day, I received a call from the service advisor to inform me that the shaft in the vehicle was damaged and needed to be repaired. However, the part was required to be ordered from Audi Germany and that would take 20 business days excluding the time for repairs.

During this time, Audi Sandton did not offer me a courtesy car for the inconvenience that I suffered as a result. I was havong difficulties travelling to and from work and this was placing great strain on my work as well as familiy. In addition, I was informed by Kirsten and Ismael from Audi Sandton that they were trying to arrange for a loan car but that I would be liable to pay the holding fee for leasing the vehicle. At this stage, I was utterly outraged and disgusted by the service or rather lack thereof. I eventually conceded and completed all the paperwork for the loan car on 6 July.

On Friday 7 July, Kirtsen from Audi Sandton called me at around 14h00 to inform me that Audi SA declined the application for the loan vehicle on the basis that my vehicle is too old and they are entitled to change the terms and conditions as they see fit.

The upshot is that I have no vehcile to use to travel between work and home for the next 25 business days. Neither Audi Sandton nor Audi South Africa have tried to arranged "mobility" for me and have come up with excuse after excuse. Based on information in the public domain, central to the Audi strategy is the imperative of delighting customers worldwide. I have not been delighted in the least bit.
