Q5 Oil usage 1l per 2000km

I found that my 2010 Audi Q5 used more oil that I was used to by a car of this value. At 50000 km I had it investigated and was told it is within spec. Now at 114000km it uses 1l every 2000km. I was told that the pistons and conrods need to be replaced. Cost to my pocket is R25000 ! This is aparanly common for Audi as a few has been done already at the small branch I get service. Buyers beware.
