Poor Service as usual
Horrible experience with Audi South Africa as usual. In October 2017 my 2013 RS3(which I had for 1 week) had a failure on Cylinder 1 piston. As per Audi South Africa's directive the dealer changed the one piston and put the engine back together. I was very unhappy about this as this piston issue seemed to be a common problem on these engines. I requested that all pistons be replaced but only the damaged one was replaced without having the cylinder wall checked by engineers. Last month Cylinder 4 piston failed and Audi once again wants to change the one piston and put the engine back together when the pistons are clearly defective. I have taken pictures of the damaged piston as well as Cylinder 1 wall and Cylinder 4 wall and both seem damaged. I'm insisting that the block be checked by engineers and that all pistons are replaced. I just wonder why Audi doesn't just sort out things properly in the first place. They do the bare minimum and the customer suffers as a result. I sat without a car for 2 months and now im in the same situation. If they don't sort out this out properly by replacing all defective pistons, my car will be spending more time at their dealership than with me. Seems like they just push it as far as possible until the car is out of its freeway plan then all costs are for the customer. Pathetic if you ask me.
