Poor service

<p>I had the unfortunate experience of my car breaking down opposite Menlyn Shopping Centre last week wednesday, not ideal with the holidays coming up. I contacted Audi assist and they arranged for my car to be collected and sent to Audi Menlyn. Audi assist were great but thats the only good news for this story. I spoke to Andrew in the service department who told me that they were busy but will be able to look at the car Thursday afternoon. Needlesstosay that I never heard from him, Friday was a public holiday so I assumed he didnt get a chance with the mad rush for teh long weekend. Saturday afternoon I still hadnt heard from Andrew so I called him again, he could hardly remember me and said he was too busy and would look at it on Monday. I called monday afternoon as still hadnt heard a thing from Andrew or anyone else at Menlyn Audi. I asked Andrew for an udate to which he respnded that the technician was busy taking my car for a test drive and would call me in 15 mins, I called back an hour later after not hearing from Andrew AGAIN and the switch board lady told me that Andrew was too busy to take my call but I left a message. I never heard from him at all Monday. Finally after not hearing from anyone I called back at lunch time Tuesday for Andrew to tell me that my car has a major problem. I asked how my car was taken for a test drive to which he said he meant that the technician was out on a test drive, just not in my car! I escalated to the dealer principle and requested my car be moved to another dealership to which he refused. It looks like my car is a 20-50k repair and I feel that I dont want to give the dealership any money. I work hard for it and want to pay people who want my business. The DP was infuriated that I wont get my car repaired with him after my experience. I love my car and I have to trust and feel confident that a good job will be done, he refused to assist to get my car transferred so I have paid again to have my car towed to another dealership. I thought its important to let everyone know that they should avoid Menlyn Audi at all costs. On the positive side I have contacted Hatfield Audi and they have been a pleasure to deal with, lets hope I am on the road again soon. </p>
