Pathetic service from Audi Durban
I purchased a new Audi A4 from Audi Durban in December 2014. This was my 3rd Audi and my first brand new vehicle. The previous two Audis were preowned. I traded in an Audi s3 for the a4. About 1 and a half years ago when I renewed my licence, I was told by the traffic department that I have outstanding fines on my name that needs to paid before I can be issued a new licence. I asked for a printout of the fines and found their to be outstanding fines against the vehicle I have traded in for the a4. These fines were incurred months after the trade in. I paid the fines and contacted Audi to reimburse me. I spoke to the person who sold me the vehicle. He assured me it will be resolved. I followed up 2 months later and the sales person told me that it will all be resolved soon and that it's being processed by the accounts department. Another month or two followed of nothing happening and this time the sales person was in hospital and he gave me the name of the lady in the accounts department to follow it up with. I did and nothing happened again. I finally decided to get Audi south Africa involved. It's taken a few weeks but there seems to be some progress. When I phone Audi Durban it seems like there is no urgency in getting this issue resolved. I have spoken to the accounts lady and the dealer principal. The dealer principal does not even have the decency to call me back. The one positive thing is that the lady from Audi south Africa has been really great in following up and making sure the Durban branch is delivering. I am just so disappointment in this Durban branch and for a prestigious brand such as Audi to be delivering such pathetic service makes me sick. Needless to say that I will never ever buy an Audi again. I have also been speaking to friends and family members and will be using social media to deter whoever I can to not buy from the Durban branch.
