Pathetic Service

On Monday, 15 May, my car had a flat battery. I called Audi Assist to jump start me and was informed that, should this happen again, the car's battery will be covered under the Audi Freeway Plan. On Wednesday, 17 May, the same happens. Upon calling Audi Assist I am told that I should have taken the car in to an Audi dealer. So they jump start me again and I take the car in to Audi Centre Paarl. Whilst driving to Audi Centre Paarl, the engine management and EPC lights come on and the car loses power and jerks terribly under acceleration. I kept the car idling (to prevent the error codes from resetting and to aid the mechanic in identifying the error). They took the car to the workshop and dropped me off at home. On Thursday (18 May) morning, I phoned Audi Centre Paarl to ask if they know what is wrong. Apparently there were many errors registered on the car's computer, all relating to low voltage supply to certain components. The mechanic also told me that the battery was charging overnight and that the battery tester still cannot test the battery due to insufficient charge. He also told me that he personally believes the battery is defective since a full charge on the battery should take 5 hours. I was told that Audi Centre Paarl put in a request to Audi Head Office to replace the battery. The next morning (Friday, 19 May) I phoned Audi Centre Paarl to get an update. During this call, the mechanic told me that the battery charged for another night (36 hours in total now) and that it was tested and nothing is wrong with the battery so I can come collect my car. This is unacceptable. Audi refuses to take responsibility for the pathetic product they sold to a customer. I refuse to take delivery of the car until such time as Audi sorted out the issue. The mechanic also insinuated that I might have left auxi****y components on, causing the battery to drain. I do not appreciate the mechanic treating me as if I am stupid - I have been driving the car for four years now (since it was new). This is the same Audi Service Centre who told me a year ago that there was nothing wrong with my gearbox, but strangely enough Audi Centre Waterfront found the need to replace the S-tronic gearbox after driving the car and agreeing with me that the clutch was slipping. In the meantime, I am still without transport since Audi can't fix their own vehicles!
