HORRIBLE SERVICE

I really am not impressed with AUDI thus far.

My car has been with AUDI for over a month and I was told the damage is not under warranty and I will be liable to pay. I totally disagree with this and regardless of that I agreed to pay the damages which were around R18 000.00. I kept emphasizing that my car rental from my insurance will lapse as I needed an indication as to what is happening with my car with no clear response.

My radiator apparently needed to be changed which was done. Thereafter the installation of a radiator I was advised that the car is now overheating. I was then told a “strip and check” had to be done to ascertain what is wrong. Audi the Glen said they can not do it as my car was a brand new model and had to take it to another branch to check what the problem is. This obviously took a very long time to do as I had to keep calling and following up. Why did Audi the Glen do the first check if they knew they not capable of doing the task in the first place? The service consultant was off sick for two days however nobody could assist when I called in despite leaving my contact details.

I place on record that I was advise that should they find out what the problem is then I would have to pay for same and if I can not the car would be towed to wherever I advise and I would pay the “strip and check” costs.

I was then advised that a cylinder had to only be “schemed” which would cost R1 500.00 and to put the parts that were disabled back together I would have to pay the R18 000.00 all together. R18 000.00 for damages which actually cost R1 500.00? Now if I had no funds to pay for this would my car be towed to my house with the parts out? Why was I not told that the fact that I am consenting to the “strip and check” I am consenting to paying around R16 000.00 from the get go whether they found great damage or not?

I am so desperate for a vehicle I decided not to complain and just agree to pay as I do not have a car to go to work with. I submitted the courtesy car documents yesterday and received an email stating that the damage is not under warranty therefore I can not get a courtesy car!!! This made me very unhappy resulting with me lodging complains with all platforms I can complain to.

My car is brand new and I bought it in August 2016 and I am ready to buy another car not from Audi.

After doing most of the following ups and calls I was told the car part would be available on 20 December 2016. It is 9 December 2016 today and I do not have a vehicle as I had said on various occasions.

I should really query why I am even paying for the R18 000.00 as it is totally unfair that Audi is avoiding any liability AND THEY ARE REFUSING TO GRANT ME A COURTESY CAR ON TOP OF THAT REGARDLESS OF THE FACT THAT THE PART WILL ONLY BE IN THE COUNTRY ON 20TH DECEMBER 2106.

I was sent Audi South Africa’s number by Audi The Glen and told to basically call them myself.

I really am all sorts of disappointed!

Please assist with at least providing me with a courtesy car.
