GPS
In May 2015 we bought an Audi TT, one of those first ones with the GPS navigation maps in the dash. I went and checked it out first. We were looking at either a S3 or the TT but the maps maintenance was an issue for both myself and my husband. I asked the sales person about the maintenance and she said it will be updated when the car comes for a service. My husband had the same concerns and she confirmed the same to him. The first time I took it for a service I forgot to ask for an update. June 2017 when I took it for a service I requested it to be updated. Felt quite the fool when I was told it will cost R5000 for an update. What?! I rated the service lady bad whom contacted me later and advised me that I cannot do that and I should take it up with their head office which I did. Found out that each dealer is independent and there is not much head office can do but head office did at least get Audi Fourways to contact me. Long story short, I was told I was lying. The sales person can’t recall saying that. Lots of fighting and frustration and just giving up on Audi. Two days ago the head office advised me that there is no update available in South Africa and they don’t even understand why Audi Fourways can give me a price. So, what would have happened if I paid R5000?
