Dispicable behaviour at Audi Centre Bryanston

If you are thinking of purchasing an Audi with Audi SA, think twice! Expensive brand, with parts that break-down prematurely and before warrantee expires, and then they threaten clients after they know how much they have inconvenienced you, specifically Audi Centre Bryanston: Diana van..., Kevin. ****s those ones! Not the quality the brand previously made us believe.

If I were to put my money towards a quality brand again, I would go back to Toyota: dealer with a sense of urgency - will go over and above to ensure that they rectify an issue and acknowledge when they are at fault.

It is just appalling that Audi Centre Bryanston, with service manager Diana van..., Kevin - manager, and how do I forget the cold and unhospitable Charmaine, who will act like they know something about the vehicle so that she can play delay tactics on Audi Bryanston's behalf.

After my Audi A1 (new model.), broke down on the side of the road on Wednesday, 10th December 2025, the warrantee insisted that they it to Audi Bryanston in the area. I was uncomfortable with this because I last serviced my car at that branch in 2022, for this very reason of their condescending attitude towards assisting clients. I am also not sure, whether it is Audi Bryanston's company policy to hire receptionists that do not have people skills?

In my understanding the car should've been taken to Audi Sandton, as I had initially reported to them in September 2025 that there was a funny noise in the vehicle. When I took it in to Audi Sandton in September, I was told that they needed to replace the battery, but that I would need to leave the car overnight, and that they are not amenable to providing the necessary courtecy car for me to be able to move around during that time. I obliged and booked it in in October, and upon it being serviced, was made to believe that the was going to be replaced and that it was eventually replaced.

I drove my car for a few days after they 'replaced' the battery in October, then on Wednesday, 10th December 2025, there was a sudden warning on my car stating 'Electrical Fault - Battery Not Charging'. Audi warrantee towed my vehicle, windows were not even closing at this point, and insisted to take the car to Audi Centre Bryanston, who have little to no customer service.

It turned out no battery had been replaced, but was merely charged. Mind you, I took my car for service in October and November, to be sure that such inconveniences are ruled out before December - as we are all aware, we people hailing from the Eastern Cape specifically buy these cars so that we can travel conveniently in them in December, but to my dismay, an A1 I bought brand new and am still paying for, which is still under warranty, already breaks down in the middle of the road, in full view of all my neighbors, exactly 5 days before I am scheduled to travel home as planned the following week (16 December 2025).

Kanti, what are we paying warrantee for??? Also to my dismay, Audi informed me that they will only work on the vehicle on Monday which is 3 days before my travel. And having given them enough notice on the Thursday before that I have to travel the following Thursday, they only prioritising the car on Monday, informing me in the afternoon that they can't fix the battery, and have order an alternator from Germany, and that I had to complete forms for a 'loan vehicle' to be approved by Audi SA, which I completed immediately and sent on the 15 Dec 2025, in terms of which Diana gave me the impression (reassured me) that she would give them urgency first thing the next day - on the 16th December 2025. Which we know is a public holiday (another delay tactic). After receiving the completed forms on 17th they pretended they were waiting for feedback, and suddenly said they found the part somewhere in some vehicle and the part would not longer come from Germany, and based on Audi SA having found a part somewhere, all their loan cars are not available, and I will need to allow them to take their sweet time until end of week when they would decide to fit the part and 'maybe' 'just maybe' I can have my car back just before Christmas.

There is no way black South African women are still treated in this manner by retailers! How are we paying our hard earned money towards warrantees, only to be given treatment that suggests Audi saying, 'we will inconvenience you any way we want'!

As for me, I cannot stand and watch this sort of behaviour perpetuating. My sister informed me that, dealing with a similar issue, VW SA never gave them so much grieve and a courtacy car was provided to her without delay.

In my case, I am being forced by Audi to can all the plans I had starting from the 18 December 2025, with not direction if my car will ever be fixed. Basically they are saying, 'the very convenience that you bought your vehicle for, is what we will inconvenient you for1' - Absolutely unacceptable in the strangest sense, especially with Diana Van Aswegen at Audi Bryanston, threatening a consumer when they request that the matter be dealt with urgently. We cannot, as black South African women still be treated like this.
