Disappointed & Lesson Learnt
Audi Northcliff.
Super disappointed and going to be moving brands, and would not consider Audi again. I trusted the name brand and now I've learnt my lesson.
I purchased 2 x brand new cars off the floor from Audi Northcliff on one day...a contract was placed before me and I signed the contract after all conversations verbally took place (trusting the service and team at the dealership), and then the following proceeded to happen.
- Had to take my car back as the transportation lock was left on it after being delivered to me. - Had to take my car in twice to fix the sticking windscreen wipers, that had to eventually be replaced as they were not working properly. - Had to have my Smash and Grab redone on BOTH cars as they bubbled terribly, even though I heard the sales manager say that there's nothing wrong with it. - Phoned the bank for a settlement query, only to find out that my incorrect physical address was given to the bank even when all correct physical address documents were provided - which I have in writing (and I even corrected the finance department when I signed the contract on my exact physical address). - Requested a sales invoice for a new insurance company quote only to find that the line items in my sales invoice do not correspond to the line items in my signed contract. For example, I was charged additionally for the colours of my cars chosen off the floor (even though sales manager followed up saying I wasn't charged for this and we were NOT made aware of this additional charge), charged for polish for my cars (which was given to me as a gift on purchase of both cars), my deposit into my car was not on this statement (and so the total is incorrect as per my total on the contract I signed) and my physical address was incorrect on my sales invoices.
When we called the sales manager and finance manager to query all of the above, the following took place:
- the finance manager then told us it was too late to query as we signed the contract, and somebody should have shown us the sales invoice beforehand - the sales manager said that we weren't charged for the colour of our cars, that we were verbally abusing her, that it was someone else's fault that we were charged for polish and that it isn't her problem that we can't afford the cars.... she then proceeded to hang up the phone.
Now. I am in the customer service industry and I am disgusted in the way that this was handled... I have tried to get hold of the branch manager for a while and he hasn't got back to me. When a customer phones concerned and querying, please assist her! Please do not make accusations and hang up. We can afford these cars, in fact we want to now move brands and are willing to pay a lot more to move and get more value out of the service and cars...It is the principle of it that concerns us greatly.
We just want some respect when querying elements that don't match up.
