Deplorable, ********* behaviour by Audi SA

Audi South Africa ... where do I start? They think they can pretend a problem doesn't exist by ignoring it at all costs? I have a 2011 Audi A5 2.0 FSi manual. The Audi A5 2.0 FSi engines manufactured between 2009 and 2011 are known to have heavy oil consumption (my car uses 1 litre of oil per 750km travelled). Audi will tell you that the car uses a lot of oil but this is normal. It most definitely is not! Audi lost a class action lawsuit in the USA in 2014 and was forced to refund Audi clients who had this latent factory engine defect. Audi SA refuses to acknowledge this lawsuit because it happened in the USA (as if this means that the same problem isn't happening in SA). If one does an internet search for this problem one finds so many similar cases related to this engine defect. But Audi N1 City and Audi South Africa refuse to acknowledge this engine problem and expect me to pay R80 000 for an engine rebuild, when the car is only valued at R150 000! Other companies like Toyota have issued product recalls when it came to light that there were manufacturing issues with their products. Audi thinks that by ignoring this issue that it will go away and they won't need to address it. Ignorance is bliss! Audi SA, the fight has just begun! ********* behaviour like this doesn't suit a brand with your reputation and stature!
