Clutch Plate

I was driving from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth on the 10/01/2018 just outside Riviersonderend i tried to change gears from 6 to 5 because the cars in front of me was slowing down gear would not engage pulled off on the side of the road switched car off gears engaged switch car on no gears phoned Audi Assit at 12.36 said they would organize for me to speak to a technician spoke technician advised that car should be towed back waited for tow truck and Lease car until 19.36 exactly 7hrs car taken to Audi Paarl never heard fromAudi Paarl until I phoned on the 12/01/2018 the person I spoke was Eugene and he advised still hadn’t looked at the car will phone me back never heard from him until I got into my daughters and road from Cape Town to Paarl 16/01/2018 spoke To Eugene still nothing done he will phone me phoned me back on the 19/01/2018 to tell me that my clutch has burnt out and it us because of negligent driving I will have to pay R23000 to have it fixed. I am not happy to pay because I have be driving this car for 4yrs and more than 20 times up and down to Cape Town an PE how could he say that it is because of negligence I really need this investigated. This is my 10 car and I have never had this problem
